Jeanette Phillips Sanders

Jeanette P. Sanders, age 74, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Oxley Park in Lyons. She was born in Toombs County on August 12, 1949 to Otis Phillips and Daisy Bell Woods and had lived in Toombs County most of her life.

Mrs. Sanders had worked as a para-professional for many years. Her favorite past time was spending time with her grand kids and family. She was a loving mother and enjoyed reading her Bible. She is preceded in death by her parents; her son,
Travis Sanders; her siblings, Edward Phillips, Alvin Phillips, Sanford Lewis and Jimmie Nell Dukes.

She is survived by her children, Mavis (Milton) Carter, Joe Sanders Jr. (Jeanette Hardwick) all of Vidalia and Gerald G. Sanders of Augusta, GA; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Delores Johnson of Augusta, GA and Otisteen
Stuckey of Lyons, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00pm on Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted 10:00am on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from the Macon Cemetery in Lyons.
