Jermaine Ronell Calhoun

Jermaine Ronell Calhoun , age 35, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Optim Medical Center in Reidsville.  The Tattnall County native had lived in Reidsville most of his life.  He graduated from Tattnall County High School in 2001.  He was employed with the Georgia Department of Corrections and in 2014 he went to work with CB&I Construction Services of Woodland, Texas.  He was a faithful member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church where he sang in the choir, participated with the food drives and pitched in wherever he was needed.  He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Delois Irene Calhoun; maternal grandfather, John Franklin Holmes; and maternal step-grandfather, Jack Eugene Kato.

Jermaine is survived by his children, Zaniah A’Kevia Calhoun, Jamir Collis Calhoun and Rodney Cathcart, Jr., parents, Terry and Cynthia Calhoun, brother, Terry Calhoun, Jr; sister, Jermesha (Anton) Bradley all of Reidsville, Ga; sister, Jazmine Nicole Edwards of Ft. Meade, Maryland; special neice, Lauryn Kate Bradley; paternal grandfather, Jerry Calhoun; maternal grandmother, Jewel Kato, all of Reidsville; aunts, Lois Mae Bacon, Jettie Mae Calhoun, Shirl Manning, Sonnie Calhoun, Lillian (Willie) Walker, Maria Mingo, all of Reidsville, Annette (Rueben) King, Linda (Dale) Thomas of Glennville, Mary  Maxine (Willie) Sellers of Atlanta; uncles, Larry Calhoun and Aubrey Davis both of Reidsville, Kenneth (Pamela) Davis of Sacramento, CA., Gregory Davis of Macon, Kelvin (Shekia) Guest of Waycross;  9 great aunts, 6 great uncles, too many cousins and friends to name or number.

Visitation will be held Friday beginning at 6:00pm to 8:00pm from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017, 11:00am at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church with interment to follow at Reidsville City Cemetery.
