Glennville
Jerry Lawton Dasher, age 81 passed away Thursday evening, March 25, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Georgia Hospice. He was born November 9, 1939 in Glennville and had lived there all of his life. He was a 1959 Glennville High School Graduate and had served in the Georgia National Guard. Mr. Jerry retired from Civil Service at Fort Stewart after 30 years of service. He enjoyed farming and was an avid tree grafter. His favorite pastime was fishing and spending time with his family. He is a member of Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, James Dasher, Roger Dasher, Wyndell Reynolds, and Eloise Griner.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gail Edwards Dasher of Glennville; children, Stacy Lawton (Cheryl) Dasher of Shellman Bluff and Vicki (Julio) Garcia of Glennville; brother, Richard (Deweese) Dasher of Glennville; grandchildren, Joshua Lawton Dasher of Townsend, Ramsi Gaylynn Whatley, Isaac Lawton Dasher, Mason Dasher Garcia, Mylie Joy Dasher; great-grandchild, Paisley Rain Dasher.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm on Sunday March 28, 2021 at Ebenezer Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Rick Cason and Rev. Mike Howard officiating.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Poole, Jackie Moody, Tracy Durrence, Clinton Dasher, Jr., Barry Griner, and Baldemar Angeles.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glennville High School Class of 1959.
Glennville Funeral Home is serving the family of Jerry Lawton Dasher.
