Jerry Allen King, age 79, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at his residence.  He was born August 6, 1939 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Marvin Luther and Opal Skinner King. He had lived in Missouri, Tennessee and most of his life in Texas.  He was a US Army Veteran and retired from the Steel Industry.  After retiring, he started a new career as a rancher.  Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf.  He sold his ranch in 2016 and moved to Glennville, GA.  He was of the Presbyterian Faith and was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diane King, and a daughter, Lisa Davis.

He is survived by his children, Richard (Tammi) King of Nashville, TN and Ronnie (Angie) King of Glennville; son in law, Randy Davis of High Point , NC; brothers, Bobby King and Joe Ed King both of Texas; sister, Judy Jenkins of Texas; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Glennville Funeral Home with the Reverend Jimmy Bargeron officiating.
