Miss Jill Suzette Washington, better known as “Shorty Red” to friends and family passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Hospice Savannah. She was born on July 8, 1968 in Glennville, Georgia to the late Thomas Earl Washington of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Grace Virginia Phillips Washington of Glennville, Georgia. Jill was educated in the Tattnall County School System and graduated from Glennville High School in 1986. She spent several years working at Duramatic of Glennville and later on at Mascot Pecan Shelling Company. She is preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her mother, Grace Washington of Glennville; 3 daughters, Jameshia (Mack) Palmer, Jatorya Davis and Jasmine Nails all of Glennville; son, JaQuez Washington of Glennville; special friend, Charles Tootle, Sr. of Glennville; 2 granddaughters, Kenyzijauh, Markaila; grandsons, Braylen, Marquis, Jr., Rashaad, Jordan, Kennard, Khalen, Nicholas, Kade and Micah.

Heaven has gained another beautiful angel. Gone but will never be forgotten. May her soul rest in eternal glory until we meet again.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00pm, Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Glennville Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Brad Pickren and Bishop James Holland officiating.
