Jim “Judd” Lewis
age 74 passed away
Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at his residence
surrounded by his family and under the
care of Living Care Hospice. He was a native
of Oxford, Florida and lived in Florida most of his
life moving to Glennville in 2006. Jim was head of
maintenance at Leesburg Nursing Home in
Leesburg, Florida. He was a US Army Veteran and
attended Little Rock Baptist Church. He was preceded
in death by his parents, William and Betsy Lewis;
brothers, Roscoe, Bill, and Ted Lewis; sister, Marcella Peavey.
Survived by his wife of 32 years, Rosanna Lewis; three sons, James
Ellis of Glennville, Daniel Ellis of Indiana, Jerry Lewis of Florida; three
daughters, Tina Burris of Hinesville, Mollie Lewis of Florida, Peggy
Green of Mendes; 2 brothers, J.C. Lewis and John Franklin
Lewis both of Oxford, Florida; double first cousin, David Lewis of
Oxford, Florida; 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Bradley B.
Anderson Funeral Home, Glennville Chapel. Funeral
services will be conducted 3:00pm Friday, June 8, 2012 at Little Rock
Baptist Church with the Reverend Bryan Anderson officiating. Interment
will follow at Little Rock Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors
rendered by the US Army. Pallbearers will be Darvin Johnson, Casey
Johnson, Hugh Reddish, Ricky Peavey, John Card, Virgil Mullins.
