Mr. Jimmie R. “JR” Screen, age 84, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia.  The Portal native had lived in Collins most of his life.  He was a mechanic that served many years and retired from the Tattnall County Road Department.  In his spare time, JR loved to fish and hunt.  He was of the Holiness faith and was preceded in death by a son, Gene R. Screen;  father, Rembert  Screen; mother and step father, Maybell and Willie Finch; grandchildren, Angel Lavonna Screen, Salina Screen, Shane Screen, and Charles Jeffery Screen.

He is survived by his wife of  65 years, Faye Johnson Screen of Collins; daughter, Brenda (Randall) Barnes of Vidalia; son, Jerry Screen of Lyons; sister, Martha (Carl) Sutton of Metter; grandchildren,  Shannon (Angie) Youmans, Brandy (Jason) Rabon, Jeremy (Christy) Screen, Randall (Sherri) Screen, Joshua (Mattie) Screen, and Luke (Shari) Screen; fifteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Tuesday from the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 10:00am, Wednesday July 15, 2015 from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory with the Reverends Andrew Nelms and Gilbert Womack officiating.  Interment will follow in the Little Flock Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.
