Jimmy Jarriel, age 81, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at his residence. A lifelong resident of Collins was born on March 24, 1943, to Stephen and Maxie Jarriel. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army. Jimmy was a mechanic retiring from the Claxton Poultry after many years of service. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of Rogers Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nan Jarriel, his son, James S. Jarriel and his brother, Billy Dean Jarriel.
He is survived by his sisters and brothers in law, Glenda J. and Hal Hicks of Macon, Margie J. and Glenn Williams of Reidsville, and Martha J. (Donald) Blaire of Macon; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 10:00am with the funeral services to follow at 11:00am from the Rogers Baptist Church with the Reverend Keith Beasley officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Doug Williams, Logan Lewis, Jimmy Hal Hicks, and Ty Blaire.
