Jimmy Lovett, age 73 passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. Jimmy was a native of Jenkins County and had lived there all of his life. He was a farmer who loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Lovett of Millen; children, Jimmy Lovett, Jr., Henry (Betsy) Lovett, Cheryl Wilson and James Lovett all of Millen; step-children, Harold Williams of Swainsboro, Susan Williams and Joseph Goodson both of Millen; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends beginning at 12:00pm Monday, June 20, 2016 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 1:00pm with the Reverend Jamie Archer officiating. Burial will be in Millen City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Terry Williams, Kyle Durden, Brent Lovett, Lonnie Wilson, Jr., Charles Lovett, Nickie Coleman.
