J. Lewis Lynn

Mr. J. Lewis Lynn age 79 passed away Wednesday January 09, 2013 at Optim Medical Center Tattnall.  The Tattnall County native had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a member of the Reidsville High School Class of 1953 and took pride in setting up the class reunions.  He was a master carpenter that had a passion for any kind of wood working and especially cabinet making.  He was known all over Tattnall County as a Jack of all trades.  Mr. Lewis was a devoted member of the Reidsville Lions Club for forty three years.  He had served as president, treasurer, secretary and had been given the Melvin Jones Fellow award.  He attended Rome Primitive Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Ellie and Zelma Lynn and a sister, Myra Gagon.

Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of 46yrs, Mrs. Wanda Coleman Lynn of Reidsville; daughter, Fran Lynn of Reidsville; sisters, Irma Lloyd of Waycross, Louise Whitaker of Reidsville, Betty Slater of Oak Park and Mary Fennell of Reidsville; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Friday from the Reidsville Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Saturday January 12, 2013 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the Elder Terry Lynn and Mr. James Curl officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Reidsville Lions Club and the Reidsville High School Class of 1953.
