JoAnne F. Albright. It is with heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of our Mother and friend. She was born on January 31, 1937 in Moline, Illinois. JoAnne was 87 and the heart of our family. She is preceded in death by her husband Curt, her partner of 66 years until his passing in October of 2020.
JoAnne and Curt retired in Savannah, GA. in 1973. JoAnne loved camping, spending time with family and NASCAR racing so they continued to travel in their motor home to Darlington, Bristol and Daytona with JoAnne's dogs riding along. Together, they raised six children, Curtis Albright, Jr., Kenneth R. Albright, Keith D. Albright, Chris E. Albright, Craig M. Albright and Kimberly Albright Shabi. JoAnne and Curt left Savannah for Rincon in 1993. They liked the small town and attended St. Boniface Catholic Church. JoAnne loved the kindness received there especially from Father Lamb and Father Martino. It was there she found support when they lost their three oldest sons.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Madeline DeMeyer; brother-in-law, Harvey Saxon; granddaughter, Jennifer Albright; grandson, Curtis Albright, III and granddaughters, Amber Shabi and Marie Albright. JoAnne leaves behind a brother, Wayne (Glenda) DeMeyer; sister, Marcia Saxon; several nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she loved with all her heart.
"Mom you will always be treasured in our hearts until we meet again"
