Joel Hinojosa, age 47 passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. He was born in Mexico on July 13, 1973 to Celso Hinojosa and Petra Vazquez. He was a member of Casa del Alfarero Church in Claxton. In his spare time, he enjoyed grilling out, going fishing and listening to music. He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren were truly his heart. He was preceded in death by his mother, Petra Vazquez.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Nicole Hinojosa of Claxton; step-children, Ernesto Cortez of Nevada, Bianca Esquivel of Nevada, Nicolas Martinez, Jazmine Martinez, Crystal Martinez, Jorge Varela and Vanessa Varela all of Claxton; siblings, Vicenta (Juan) Hinojosa of Texas, Maria (Juan) Hinojosa of Texas, Mariana (Armando) Hinojosa of Metter and Francisco (Angelica) Hinojosa of Claxton; father, Celso Hinojosa; grandchildren, Josue Calvario, Jonathan Calvario, Julian Calvario, Khalia Wright, Mayra Cadena, Emilee Varela, Remi Martinez, Khalil Green and Lucas Martinez; Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Glennville Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:30pm, Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Brewton Cemetery in Hagan.
