Mr. Joel Fredrick Wood, Sr. age 59, passed away Saturday, September 20th, 2014 at St. Josephs Hospital in Savannah. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Charles F. & Eleanor Walsh Wood. He was a great man that loved his family, had a big heart and good moral character. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching and cheering on the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Wood; sister, Chris Lukic.

He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Wood of Savannah; sons, Joel F. Wood, Jr. of Savannah and Michael Wood of Marietta; grandson, Archer Wood of Marietta; nephew, Chuck Ceccacci of Atlanta; nieces, Carolyn Ceccacci of Atlanta and Elly Lukic of Metter.

Services will be held at later date.

Low Country Cremation Services and Burial is serving the Wood family.
