Glennville,
John Arthur Dasher, 86, passed away on June 20, 2014, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, Georgia, after a short illness. He was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Glennville, a US Air Force veteran, a member of Philadelphia Lodge # 73 and was a member of the Alee Temple since 1955. He worked with Have-A-Tampa, and owned and operated Pine Harbor Marina and Harbor House Restaurant. He loved outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Maggie Moody Dasher, his beloved daughter, Johnette Dasher Ryals, and a sister, Madera Dasher Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Nadine (Bootsy) Mathuss Dasher; daughters Cynthia (Keith) Middleton of Statesboro, GA; Lisa (Doug) Sawyer of Darien, GA; Amy (Leonard) Stimpson of Jacksonville, FL; son Matt Dasher of Waycross, GA; a son-in-law David Ryals, Jacksonville, FL; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one nephew and our beloved Pat and John Brannen and family.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Glennville Chapel with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00am.
