John L. Lewis, Jr.

John Luther Lewis Jr. age 60 passed away on January 13, 2018 after battling five brain tumors in three years. With grace and dignity, John spent his final two years at Bay View Manor in Beaufort, South Carolina. The love of his life, his beloved Maria, was by his side through this difficult journey, making him comfortable until his last day. Originally from Mt. Lebanon, PA., John graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School, class of 1976. He worked in various fields that included music, health care, security, owning his own business, earning his CNA certification, and volunteering his services playing the piano for patients at NHC. John led a life of love and compassion towards everyone he encountered. He was the son of the late, John L. Lewis, Sr. and Gloria Loller Lewis; who are reunited in heaven.

He is survived by his sister, Margaret Elaine (Maggie) Lewis; goddaughter and niece, Rowan Loller Lewis; stepsons, Louie and John Pasquarelli, and many family and friends.

Accolades and prayers of thanks are administered to the staff of Bay View Manor (B Wing), and Agape Hospice for their genuine love and care for John.

Burial services were privately held in Bluffton, South Carolina.
