John William Yates, Jr ., born March 27, 1977, passed away September 18, 2015 in Bay City, Texas.  He was born and raised as part of a large family in Savannah, Georgia.  John-John, as he was known by everyone, was a truck driver who loved to spend time at the beach and outdoors with his family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Harriet Yates.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Jeanne-Marie Yates;  parents, John and Cathy Yates; children, Joshua, Devin, Dylan James, Caleb Hayden, and Joel Logan; maternal grandparents, June and Isaac Hutson; siblings, Nicole Whittenberger, Rachel Yates, Alicia Cruz, Cayla Yates, Jeremy Yates, and Jared Yates; many in-laws, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A viewing will be held Saturday, September, 26, 2015 at 10:00am with the funeral services to follow at 12:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1200 King George Blvd, Savannah, GA.  Interment will follow at the Bethel Cemetery on Little Neck Road.
