Collins,
John Ray Ansley , age 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 14, 2016 at his home in the presence of his family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. He was born and lived most of his life in Tattnall County. He was the owner and operator of Ansley Custom Built Cabinets until his retirement. He loved going fishing, riding his mule, gardening, and grilling out for his family. Mr. Ray was a member of First Baptist Church of Collins and was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Elise Ansley and a brother, Gene Ansley.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Fredna Sisson Ansley of Collins; children, Dallen (Lisa) Ansley of Ormond Beach, FL, Denna Ansley (Ray Maddox) of Hazlehurst, and Darren (Barbara) Ansley of Collins; sister, Meletta Boyette of Collins; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren who have added much love and joy to the lives of Ray and Fredna; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am on Saturday, December 17, 2016 with the funeral services to follow at 11:00am from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial with the Reverend Steve Kimbrell officiating.
Memorials may be given to the donor’s favorite charity.
