Joseph “Larry” Kennedy, age 71 passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Ogeechee Area Hospice.

Larry was raised and born in Bulloch County on October 14, 1946 to the late Dalton E. and Annis Wilson Kennedy.  He was a 1964 graduate from Statesboro High School where he proudly played varsity football for 4 years.  Larry retired from the Department of Transportation and he loved being outdoors spending his time hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Larry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jane Brannen Kennedy of Statesboro; daughters, Denise Sullivan of Orlando, FL. and Kimberly Kennedy of Statesboro; grandchildren, Amber Gay and Molly Cooper; also survived by several cousins and friends.

Graveside services and interment will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Eastside Cemetery with Elder Jake Futch officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, 200 Donehoo St. Statesboro, GA. 30458.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Kennedy family.
