Mr. J.P. Holland age 70, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at his residence.  The Fort Myers, Florida native had lived in Tattnall County most of his life.  He retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections and was an avid fisherman.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Alma Holland and his wife, Linda Rogers Holland.

He is survived by his son, Brian (Tonya) Holland of Reidsville; daughter, Amanda Holland of Pooler; brother, Jeffery (Debbie) Holland of South Carolina; sisters, Margie (Kenneth) Pevey-Shuman of Statesboro, Betty Gray of Claxton, Sally Joe (Kenneth) Nease of Bellville and Carolyn (Terry) Powers of Savannah; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00pm on Thursday, January 29, 2015 with the memorial service to follow at 6:00pm from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory.
