Ms. Juanita Joyce Toal, age 89 of Statenville passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at her residence under the care of  Hospice of South Georgia. She was born in Statenville on December 24, 1934 to Myrtle Jestes Joyce and William Henry Joyce. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Moses Toal;  three of her five daughters Marta Toal Arreola, Miriam Toal Anderson, and Melisa Toal Thomas;  four brothers, William (Billy), George, Jimmy, and Larry Joyce; one grandson, Steven Anderson. 

She is survived by her sister Aileen Joyce Powell, her two daughters Melanie Toal and Marcia Toal Anderson, seven grandchildren Shannon Toal Perez, Joseph Seago, Sheldon Vickers Jr., Alicia Shay Anderson Landaverde, Adrienne Cheree Barrett, Chris Anderson, and Tara Anderson Booth; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Seago, Haley McPipkin, Jordan Seago, Jade Landaverde, Hannah Seago, Lawsen McPipkin, Kaden Bennett, Preston Anderson, Kinleigh Vickers, Jaley Tanner, Emily Landaverde, Gradin Delk, Karsen Anderson, Abigail Anderson, Bradley Booth, Brynlee Anderson and 2 great great grands

She retired with AT & T as a telephone operator. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and singing. The LORD prepared her for her eternal home in so many precious ways. Mama you are forever in our hearts and minds. We are thankful for all the things you taught us and precious memories that you left with us. Memories of giving and memories of love, memories of hard work and memories of tears and laughter. You will be greatly missed by your family and friends. We will not say “goodbye”, but we will say “see you soon”, until we all meet again in heaven.
