Judy "Mema" Waters Deloach, age74 passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Georgia Hospice Care. She was born on May 4, 1944 to Reginald and Mildred Rustin Waters. A native of Claxton, she had lived there her entire life.  Judy was raised in a Christian home, attending Eastside Baptist Church; that positive upbringing stayed with her and she attended Claxton Church of God. Ms. Judy was always working for the betterment of her family and in doing so had several vocations during her life that included, among others, being an inspector at Claxton Manufacturing and a waitress at Mr. B's and Mrs. Rogers Restaurants. She truly loved being with and providing for her family.  She definitely considered herself to be and engineer of all things domestic.  Later in life, she relished helping to raise her grandchildren; rediscovering the joy of children’s laughter in the home. In her spare time, she enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles and taking care of her kitty, Sweet Pea. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Jerry Waters.

She is survived by her children, Sandra Bailey of Hagan, Peggy Bradley of Vidalia, Bo (Leigh) Hutcheson of Claxton, Nikki Deloach of Claxton; siblings, Jeanette Morris of Statesboro, Joann (Jimmy) Cannon of Blackshear, Geneva (Larry) Wiggins of Pembroke, Steve "Buck" Waters of Glennville, Wayne (Karen) Waters of Claxton; special friend, Mary Hendrix Arnold of Claxton; grandchildren, Josh Bailey, Whitney Waters, Tylor Waters, Amanda Martin, Ariel (Ben) Anderson; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Union United Methodist Church with funeral services to follow at 11:00am with the Chaplain Ryan Wilson and Reverend Thomas Kennison officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Kerry Cannon, Larry Wiggins, Jr., Troy Myers, Tylor Waters, Wendell Fields and Keith Bradley.
