Judy (Arnold) Thrift

Judy Arnold Thrift age 57 passed away Sunday February 3, 2013 at her daughter’s residence surrounded by her family and friends.  The Baxley native had lived in Hazlehurst moving to Reidsville in 1991.  She retired from Georgia State Prison after 23 years of service.  Judy loved to garden, shopping and tending to her pets.  She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church of Reidsville.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy Thrift of Reidsville; children, Jamie Arnold, James and Megan Waters, and Stacy Thrift all of Reidsville, James and Kim Beverly of Mendes, and Bonnie Nix of Waycross; siblings, Jerry Arnold of Hazlehurst, David Arnold of Baxley, Frances Arnold of Cedar Crossing, June Mathis and Helen Beasley both of Vidalia; grandchildren, Kyra Arnold, Nate Waters, Damon and Katelyn Beverly, Aaliyah and Alesia Harper, Tristen Shealy, Joshua and Bethanie Nix; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Wednesday February 6, 2013 from the Reidsville Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday February 7, 2013 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the Reverend David Moxley officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Billy Murray, Steve Eubank, Jamie Wasson, Curtis Gay, Damon Beverly, and Neal Thompson

Honorary Pallbearers will be employees of the Georgia State Prison.
