June (Woods) Pearson

June Woods Pearson, age 88, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, SC.  She was born June 1, 1930 in Collins, GA to Rowey and Lula Woods.  She had lived in Reidsville most of her life except when she worked in Atlanta in the 1950’s. Ms. June retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections as a secretary for the State Probation and Paroles.  She enjoyed needle working, fishing, and was a faithful member of the Reidsville United Methodist Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard E. Pearson and several siblings.

She is survived by her son, Greg (Mimi) Pearson of Lexington, SC; brother, Jimie (Brenda) Woods of Collins; sisters, Ann (Charles) Lifer of Huntsville, AL and Thelvia (David) Gaulden of Easton, MD; granddaughter, Lindsey Claire Pearson of Charleston, SC; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Reidsville United Methodist Church with the Reverend Marc Foster officiating.  Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Trim, Hank Oliver, Herman Jarriel, Chuck Bass, Bobby Kennedy, and Jerry Gaulden.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Pearson family.
