Kenneth Morgan Roberts

Mr. Kenny “Morgan” Roberts, age 66, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in Savannah.  He was born in Savannah on October 31, 1956 to Hugh and Roxie Sheffield Roberts.  Morgan had lived in Texas and California before moving back to Savannah 30 years ago.  His free spirit would not allow him to be confined to a traditional nine to five job.  To that end, he was a serial entrepreneur.  For many years he owned and operated a concrete construction business as well mobile home parks and other rental properties.  Much of the work done to restore the rental homes were done by Morgan.  In fact, painting was among his favorite parts of a renovation, and he would take up this beloved task himself.   To unwind after a long day, Morgan loved being outdoors to admire God’s creation, and those escapes included fishing and playing golf.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Shannon Roberts.

Morgan is survived by 2 aunts, several cousins and 2 special friends, Jesse Reid of Hinesville and Delores Mason of Savannah.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted 11:00am on Monday, March 6, 2023, from Memorial Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Larry McDaniel officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Watson, Jace Reid, Richard Sheffield, TJ Sutton, Tim Smith, and TY Smith.
