Lamar Junior Merritt

Lamar “Junior” Merritt, age 68, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020.  He was born in Reidsville on May 21, 1952 to Boy and Annie Stanfield Merritt and had lived in Tattnall County most of his life.  Junior had worked for many years with Mr. Bobby Bland.  He loved his pets and was known for is big heart.  He was of Baptist faith and is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Merritt.

He is survived by his siblings, W.B. Merritt and Maggie Murray both of Reidsville; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial funeral services will be conducted 5:00pm Friday, September 11, 2020 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Mr. Zach Howell officiating.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Merritt family.
