Reidsville,
Lanora Green Cranford , age 64, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. The lifelong Tattnall County resident was a 1970 Reidsville High School graduate. She retired from the Tattnall County Board of Education after thirty years of service. In her past time she loved working in her flower garden. Lanora is preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Kathryn Green.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Dean Cranford of Reidsville; son, Jay Cranford of Lyons; step children, Michael (Penny) Cranford of Reidsville and Melissa Cranford (Tony) Vinson of Lyons; grandchildren, Austin Cranford, Caitlin Vinson (Jeremy) Cox, and Dalton McCumber; great grandchild, Braylin Cox; sister, Linda Jarrell of Collins; nephews, Jimmy (Charlotte) Jarrell and Michael (Spring) Jarrell all of Collins; niece, Jennifer Jarrell of Brooklet and an aunt, Mae Sapp of Collins.
The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00pm on Monday, March 20, 2017 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the funeral services to follow at 4:00pm also at the Chapel with the Reverend Benny Green officiating. Interment will follow the services at Anderson Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tony Vinson, Jeremy Cox, Loren Cranford, Jimmy Jarrell, Michael Jarrell, and Kenneth Jarrell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Cranford and Dalton McCumber.
Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Cranford family.
