Mrs. Lavonia Lynn, age 83, passed away Sunday, April 03, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Tattnall County native had lived in Glennville all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She especially enjoyed crocheting, sewing, tending to her roses, bird watching and canning.
Mrs. Lynn is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Mr. Earl Lynn; parents, Reverend JD and Eva Mae Bargeron, and brothers, Harold and Revis Bargeron.
She is survived by her children, Helon (James) McDaniel of Baxley, James (Teresa) Lynn of Reidsville, Danny (Debbie) Lynn, Sandra (Dana) Simmons all of Glennville, Ricky (Tyra) Lynn of Bloomingdale and Brenda Faye (Mike) Strickland of Savannah; brother, Rev. Jimmy (Mary) Bargeron of Glennville; sister, Laverne (Billy) Morris of Savannah; eighteen grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren; two great great grandsons; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm Monday from the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Tuesday April 5, 2016 from Calvary Baptist Church with the Reverends Bryan Anderson and Jimmy Bargeron officiating. Interment will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark McDaniel, Michael Lynn, Scott Lynn, Sonny Odum, Bryan Dixon and Jordan Strickland.
