Lee Allen “PeeWee” Powell age 48 passed away Sunday June 16, 2013 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro.  The Bartow, FL native had lived in Claxton all of his life.  He graduated from Claxton High School and worked in the maintenance department at Claxton Poultry.  PeeWee was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Daisy.  He is preceded in death by his father, Roger Powell.

He is survived by his mother and step father, Patsy and Terry Rustin of Claxton; sons, Stephen Cory Powell and Richard Allen Powell both of Stasburg, OH; daughters, Crystal Leigh Powell and Brittany Marie Powell both of Hazlehurst; two brothers, Richard and Gregory Powell both of Claxton; sister, Rebecca Cardenes of Statesboro; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday from the Reidsville Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday from the Faith Baptist Church in Daisy.  Interment will follow in the Brewton Cemetery in Hagan.
