Mr. Leonard Anderson, age 60, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at his residence. He was born July 7, 1962, in Glennville to Bennie Howard and Barbara Proctor Anderson. He had lived in Glennville most of his life moving to Collins 2 years ago. Leonard was a retired logger working many years for Wilson Brothers Timber Company. He enjoyed watching Gun Smoke and football on the television. He is a devoted member of the Glennville First United Pentecostal Church and is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mellie Ruth “Ruthie” Moody Anderson.
He is survived by his daughters, Lavender McClanahan (Kevin Baker) and Brigett (Ray) Morgan all of Collins, siblings, Mercedes Anderson (Buddy DeLoach) of Glennville, Mikey (Tiffany) Anderson of Collins, and Jackie Anderson of Eastman; grandchildren, Miracle, R.J., Emerald, and Michonne; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Glennville First United Pentecostal Church with Bishop James Holland and Reverend Brad Pickren officiating. Inurnment will be in the Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Glennville First United Pentecostal Church Food Ministry.
