Linda Gale Jones
January 28, 1949 — August 16, 2012
REIDSVILLE,
Linda Gale Jones, age 63 passed away Thursday,
August 16, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a
native of Tattnall County but lived in Hinesville over 25
years. She moved back to Reidsville in 1998. She was
a graduate of Reidsville High School, Brewton Parker
College, Carson Newman College, and New Orleans
Baptist Theology Seminary with Masters in Theology and
Georgia Southern University with a Masters in Education.
She was an English teacher serving for 30 years at Bradwell
Institute in Hinesville. She was a member of Reidsville Baptist
Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph
and Doris Jones and her beloved companion, Red.
She is survived by sister and Brother-in-law, Brenda and Jim Wallace
of Lexington KY; nephew, Brian (Shah) Shuman of MA; niece, Meredith
Yarbrough of Marietta, GA; niece, Kim (A.D. IV) Carter, Strasburg VA;
niece, Kelly (Robert) Stinson, Silver Springs MD; grand niece/nephews,
Peyton Yarborough, Parker Yarbrough, Patrick Shuman, A.D. Carter V,
Wallace Carter, Everett Stinson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 from
6:00pm-8:00pm at Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home Reidsville
Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday,
August 19
th
from the Reidsville Baptist Church with the Reverend
Chuck Jonas officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville
City Cemetery. Miss Jones will lie in state at the Church beginning
at 1:00pm.
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel, is serving the Jones family.
