Lois Morgan Asbridge, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lyons on July 26, 1942, to Louis and Maudeena Mack Morgan and was reared in Cobbtown. She had lived in several states making Richmond Hill her home 4 years ago. Lois was a graduate of Collins High School, class of 1960, and dedicated her life to serving others through her ministry.
Lois served several churches throughout Georgia and Arkansas, where she was known for her unwavering faith and commitment to teaching and preaching the Full Gospel. Her love for the Lord resonated with all who had the privilege of hearing her speak. She encouraged many with her passionate messages and generosity of spirit, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
Outside of her spiritual pursuits, Lois enjoyed an array of hobbies and interests. Her love for travel took her to many wonderful places, where she found joy in exploring new environments. Additionally, she cherished time spent at the beach and enjoyed fishing, activities that brought her peace and happiness.
She attended The Bridge Church in Savannah and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pete Asbridge; her daughter, Cindi Morgan Canady; and her siblings, James Morgan, Thelma Mack, David Morgan and Donny Morgan.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Durr of Reidsville and Louie Spell (Karen McCall) of Cobbtown; siblings, Joyce Driggers of Bellville, John (Judy) Morgan of Metter, Jimmy (Jennie) Morgan of Cobbtown, Marti Lenhart of Statesboro, Ronnie (Sandy) Morgan of Cobbtown and Patsy (Donald) Martin of Statesboro; grandchildren, Clay (Lindsay) Williams, Emily Durr (Smith Bagett) Jessica (Ryan) Lane, Trevor Spell (Marina Sanders), Cory Spell, Lucas Canady (Laurel), Tori (James) Hunter; great grandchildren, Gabe, Jackson, River and Jax; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 7, 2025, beginning at 2:00pm with the funeral service to follow at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Reverend Donna Van Gorp officiating.
