Reidsville,
Mrs. Loreatha Lynn, age 90, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Community Hospice. She was born October 18, 1930, in Soperton to John D. and Ethel Williamson and had lived in Reidsville most of her life. For many years, she worked with several factories including: Argo Mills, Hazlehurst Manufacturing, and Roydon Wear as a seamstress. After Roydon Wear closed, she went to work with the Tattnall County School System where she would retire. In retirement, she discovered that she was able to focus on many hobbies, including quilting and canning vegetables. She was also able to expand her social and civic involvement in her retirement. She would later join the Red Hat Foxy Ladies and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Above anything else, she relished her title of MeMa. Not only was this loving nickname bestowed on her by her grandchildren but by all who knew her. She was a dedicated member of Reidsville Church of God and a woman whose love and care for others was beyond measure. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, John D. and Ethel Williamson; children, Lanier Osborne, Linda Frost and Kenny Trull; siblings, Louise Goff, W.B. Hutto and Mavis Wilds; and a grandson, Brian Register.
She is survived by her children, Jimmy (Lindy) Trull, Rita (Bruce) Oliver and Ricky (Krystal) Trull all of Reidsville; siblings, Jeanette Lynn of Reidsville and Alvin Hutto of Tallahassee, Florida; 6 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Rev. William Prince officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.
