Lori Ann Bacon died Monday, January 17, 2022 at Meadows Memorial Hospital, Vidalia, Georgia due to complications of COVID Pneumonia. She was born to Donald M. Shumack and Virginia Ruth Howells (Shumack) on March 21, 1966 in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
Lori graduated from Southern Nash High School and then attended Nash Community College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Donnie Patrick Bacon, their two fur babies, Kassie and Luke, her two sons, Joshua “Eric” Jackson and Jeremy Matthew Jackson, his wife Ashley Jackson, a granddaughter, Shyanne Jackson, one brother and a step-daughter, Brittney Bacon. Lori was a wonderful disciple for Christ and lived her life sharing His message with all those she met. Her service to God was especially noteworthy. Her love for hummingbirds and the beauty of nature showed in all she did. Lori’s beauty shows through her favorite quote: “Memories are not made by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.”
There are not sufficient words from the family to express the gratitude to those who have been part of the support and care during this sad loss. Special thanks go to Daniel Bennett with Low Country Cremation Services and Burial for his patience and kindness in our time of need.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Bacon family.
