Ms. Lucille O. Anderson age 89, passed away Tuesday August 16, 2011 at the Bethany Home of Vidalia under the care of United Hospice. The Tattnall County native had lived in Collins all of her life. She worked for sixty five years as a seamstress. Ms. Lucille was a member of Collins Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pharie Anderson; parents, Little Mac and Maranda Belle Oliver; siblings, Gladys Anderson, Mae Bell Cowart, Reba Andrews, Susie Alexander, Oscar Oliver, Rufus Oliver and Ivy Oliver.
She is survived by:
Her daughter and son-in-law, Pansy and Chester Powell of Collins
Sister, Christine Collins of Cobbtown
Grandchildren, Marsha and Bill Waters of Claxton
Kathy and Dane Glisson of Glennville
Patrick Powell and
Travis Powell both of Collins
Five great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm on Wednesday August 17, 2011 from the Reidsville Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Thursday August 18, 2011 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Kimbrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Collins Baptist Church Cemetery.
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel is serving the Anderson family.
