Lucina Morado-Medrano, age 88 passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was born on June 30, 1934 in Silao Guanajuato, Mexico to Juan Morado and Concepsion Medrano. Lucina married Silvestre Delgado in 1955 and they were married for 35 years before his death. She loved to crochet, write poems, cook and take care of her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

She is survived by her children, Lazaro (Rafaela Martinez) Delgado of Greenwood, SC., Silvestre (Elisa Ochoa) Delgado of Reidsville, Antonia (Nicolas Gonzalez) of Reidsville, Natividad (Luz Maria Perez) Delgado, Maria De La Luz (Roberto) Maldonado of Reidsville, Martin (Socorro Luna) Delgado of Williamston, SC; brother, Antonio (Juana Rodarte) Morado of Lyons; sisters, Soledad (Juan ) Aguirre  and Elvira Morado all of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Beatriz (Jose Rosas) of Glennville, Lazaro (Paulina Sanchez) Delgado of SC., Julio (Kirstin) Delgado of SC., Salvador Delgado of SC., Gabriela Delgado of Mexico, Citalli (Jose Gonzalez) Martinez of SC., Alicia (Eduardo Rosales) Delgado, Juan Delgado, Gloria (Marcelino Narvaez) Delgado, Jose Silvestre Delgado, Jose Carlos ( Semonica Martinez) Delgado, Javier (Lucy) Delgado, Guadalupe (Ambrosio) Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez, Ana (Arnoldo Lara) Gonzalez, Lidia (Jorge Torres) Gonzalez, Richard (Jazmin Alvarez) Gonzalez, Ruby Gonzalez, Hector (Irene) Delgado all of Reidsville, Ricardo (Nicole Garnto) Delgado, Oscar (Laura) Delgado, all of Lyons, Cindy (Samuel Derocco) Delgado of Statesboro, Juana Virginia (Francisco Hernandez) Maldonado of Reidsville, Carlos Maldonado of Mexico, Maria De La Luz (Homer) Sosh of Reidsville, Martin (Rosa Vargas) Delgado , Jr., Silvestre Delgado, Raul Delgado and Maria S. Delgado all of SC; numerous great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and other relatives also survive.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm, Sunday, October 16, 2022 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the Reverend Brad Pickren officiating. Interment will follow at the Reidsville City Cemetery.
