Mrs. Lynda Walter-Anglin passed from this life on Friday, September 13, 2019. Lynda was born on August 27 1954 in Leesburg, Florida to Jacqueline and Thomas Possee. The daughter of an active duty Air Force member, she relocated throughout the United States and overseas accompanying her family until finally settling back to her Florida home upon her father’s military retirement. Lynda completed her education in fine arts and interior design at International Fine Arts College in Miami, Florida culminating in her degree in 1994 before returning to Lake County, Florida. She met the love of her life, Bruce Anglin in 1999 and they were married in February, 2006, and relocated to Liberty County, Georgia where he had accepted a position working for US Army Garrison, Fort Stewart where he was employed as a paralegal in the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate. Lynda was predeceased by her mother Jacqueline Grant and her father Thomas Possee. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Anglin; daughter, Nicole Walter-Austin; son in law, James Austin and her precious grand-daughter, Tetley Winifred Austin. She leaves behind her surviving aunt Norma Jean Grant-Hohman, George Hohman, many cousins, her dear friends, Jocelyn Cox-Hargrove and Carl Hargrove and many others too numerous to mention. She was very active in her Midway, Georgia community, contributing countless hours of volunteer service to the Historic Midway Museum, serving as emcee at various pageants, and assisting on special committees at the request of several mayors. She volunteered numerous hours at the Staff Judge Advocate and in her own neighborhood. Lynda it can be said never met a stranger and was known far and wide as being a giving, loving, considerate friend. She was a member of Umatilla, Florida Chapter 32 O.E.S., where she held the position of Star Point.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30am Friday, September 27, 2019 at MARNE Chapel, 484 W. 6th Street, Fort Stewart, Georgia, 31314 with Chaplain John Hubbs officiating. A committal service will be held at 3:00pm Friday, September 27, 2019 at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Glennville, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Walter-Anglin family.
