Metter,
Malcolm “Mack” Snipes , age 69, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. The lifelong resident of Candler County was the owner of Snipes Logging; where in addition to the typical logging operation, he also farmed. As a man of faith and family, he loved his boys and his wife more than anything. In his free time he loved to fish and was a motorcycle enthusiast. Mack attended the Lighthouse Church in Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Jewel Snipes and a sister, Shelby Snipes Grimes.
He is survived by his wife of 50yrs, Marsha Cardell Snipes of Metter; children, Kevin (Anita) Snipes of Reidsville and Keith (Candy) Snipes of Candler County; siblings, Betty (Burton) Sconyers of Metter, Louise (Bobby) Henry of St. Marys, and JM (Brenda) Snipes of Metter; grandchildren, Kane Collins, Devin Snipes, Dalton Olliff, Kyler Snipes, Colton Olliff, Caroline Snipes, and Fisher Snipes; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 with the funeral services to follow at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory with the Reverend Greg Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Stillmore Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Lighthouse Church, Post Office Box 38, Collins, GA 30421.
