Obituary

Madelyn Betty Beecher, age 73 passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. Madelyn was a Chatham County native and a lifelong resident of Savannah. She was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her husband Edwin Beecher, Sr. of Savannah; sons, Edwin Beecher, Jr. and Darrell Beecher both of Savannah; daughter, Betty Joe Gordy of Phoenix City, AL; brother, Larry Walden of Savannah; four grandchildren, Robert Gordy, Raymond Gordy, Brad Beecher, Lee Beecher; great-grandchildren, Logan, Sydnee, Aivery, Thomas; special cousin, Dinkie Woods of Kansas; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation and Funeral Services

Visitation will be from 12:00pm-1:45pm, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Central Christian Church in Savannah, 6810 Skidaway Rd., with graveside services to follow at 2:00pm at Greenwich Cemetery.

Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel is serving the Beecher family.
