Madlin (Phillips) Anderson

Madlin Phillips Anderson, age 77, passed away, Monday, January 30, 2023, at her residence.  She was born in Treutlen County on September 22, 1945, to KW and Fleta Hutcheson Phillips and had lived in Toombs and Tattnall Counties most of her life.  She was a homemaker that loved to bake and sew.  Madlin is a member of Faith Baptist Church in Lyons and is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Dewayne Anderson; and siblings, Jimmy Phillips and Margaret Brooks.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lawson Eugene Anderson of Reidsville; children, Michael (Kelly) Anderson of Cobbtown; Bobby Kight, Donald Kight, Ronald Kight, Benny Ray Kight all of Toombs County; sisters, Louise Peebles of Swainsboro and Sue Gantt of Augusta, grandchildren, Marcus Anderson, Cody Anderson, Dacia Harrelson, Lexi James, Layla James, Jack James, Jacob Kight, Brandon Kight, Ashton Kight, Aaron Kight, Jasmine Kight and Leeanna Kight; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am on Saturday, February 4, 2023, with the funeral services to follow at 11:00am with Reverend Jeffery Barnard officiating.  Interment will follow in the Harden’s Chapel Cemetery in Toombs County.

Pallbearers will be Jack James, Cody Anderson, Jay Joseph, Sam Joseph, Tommy Barlow, and Donovan Murray.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Anderson family.
