Maigan Lynn Gibson

November 5, 1996 — March 1, 2016

Claxton GA,

Maigan Lynn Gibson, known as “Noodle” to her father and “Mai-Mai” to her family and friends, age 19, passed away on Tuesday March 1, 2016.  The Evans County native spent most of her life living between Claxton and Pembroke.  Maigan was a member of Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church in Rincon.  From an early age, she quickly grew into a fashionista; always sporting the latest in fashionable trends.  She was passionate about animal welfare, and loved all types of animals, and could not bear to see one harmed or suffering.   She was a strong willed young lady who was passionate in her beliefs.  Friends and family recall her laughter, even describing it as infectious.  A beautiful, talented, and loving person is who she was.  Above all else though, she was a loving and attentive mother to her daughter.  Maigan’s was a life gone too soon, and she is sure to be missed by a great many people.

Left to carry on and mourn her memory is her beloved daughter, Serenity Grace “Gracie” Gibson of Cobbtown; father, Barry Gibson of Claxton; mother, Patricia Gibson of Cobbtown; 2 brothers, Devin (Sasha) Sikes of Valdosta and Gavin “Bop-Bops” Gibson of Claxton; sister, Tara (Sandy) Phillips of Cobbtown; grand-parents, Barry and Doris Gibson of Savannah, Sydney and Bruna Clifton of Reidsville, and Jim and Chris Shivers of Ocala FL; aunts, Kimberly Richardson of Pooler, Chris (Paul) Adams of Reidsville, and Sharon (Matthew) Hamby of Rincon; uncles, Danny (Christy) Guyton of Brunswick and Chuck Jones of Claxton; niece and nephew, Kaydin and Briar Phillips of Rincon; cousins Christian Hamby and Kristen “Kritter” Durrence of Rincon; special family friend Patrick Morris of Claxton; numerous other relatives and countless friends also survive.
