Malcolm James Emanuel, Jr. mostly known as Bubba to his family and friends fell asleep in death on September 30, 2022 at the age of 54 after battling leukemia. He was at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Bethany Hospice. He was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky on October 12, 1967 to Malcolm James and Doris Sue Thompson Emanuel and lived in Georgia most of his life making Glennville his home eight years ago. Bubba was a Master Carpenter employed with the Carpenter Union 1750. He enjoyed watching the NFL, boxing, racing and fishing. He loved doing yard work, making things pretty and most of all helping others. Bubba struggled with addiction for many years but by the Grace of God he overcame it and lived a sober life for the past 11 years. He was a member of Anchor Point Church and is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Amanda Myrlynn Gomez.
He is survived by a very special and unique friend, Judy Rhodes of Glennville; step son, Stacey Holland of Glennville; siblings, Franchesca Emanuel of KY, Robin W. Emanuel of KY and T.C. Dennis of Metter; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm on Sunday, October 2, 2022 with the funeral services to follow at 2:00pm from the Chapel of The Glennville Funeral Home with Reverend Roger Mercer officiating. Interment will be private.
