Malinda Rae (McFarlane) Tharpe

Mrs. Malinda Tharpe, age 70, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro. She was born on September 26, 1950 in Savannah, Georgia to Walter and Mary Ramsey McFarlane. She was a native of Savannah and had spent the last several years in Hagan. Malinda loved animals and in her spare time, she enjoyed riding horses, fishing and camping. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Tharpe.

She is survived by her daughters, Tonya (Dennis) Jones of Guyton and Shawn (Robert) Rempel of Statesboro; brother, Walter (Jan) McFarlane of Tennessee; grandchildren, Kayla (Gerald) Conrad, Rachael Jones, Emily Jones, Christine Conrad, Robert (Shelby) Rempel, Jr., Matthew Rempel, Jorden Presson; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Private interment will be  at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
