Manuel Puga, de 72 años, falleció el martes 29 de octubre de 2019 después de una breve enfermedad. El nativo de México hizo del condado de Tattnall su hogar durante la mayor parte de su vida. Fue contratista agrícola en Bland Farms durante muchos años hasta que comenzó a trabajar para sí mismo en su negocio, Puga Brothers Taqueria. Sirvió decenas de miles de comidas a través de su negocio en los últimos 15 años. Cuando no estaba trabajando, le encantaba trabajar en su jardín. Uno de sus pasatiempos favoritos era el fútbol. Era un ávido fanático del fútbol e incluso tenía su propio equipo en el que era el capitán. Manuel podía seguir el ritmo de los hombres en el campo de fútbol de la mitad de su edad. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; un nieto, Jesse Puga; una hermana, Rufina Puga; y un hermano, Ramon Puga.

Se va para apreciar una vida vivida juntos, su esposa de más de 30 años, Ana Puga; diez niños, Martin (Leticia) Puga, Estella (Robert) Espinoza, Celia (Manuel) Gómez, Juan Manuel Puga, José Luis Puga, Christina (Jaime) Puga-Suárez, Ernesto Puga, Alfredo (Delfina Trejo) Puga, Manuel Puga, y Andrés (Marimar) Puga; un hermano, Alfredo Puga; una hermana Elvira (Jesús) Moreno; numerosos nietos y bisnietos; Una gran cantidad de sobrinas y sobrinos y otros familiares también sobreviven.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el viernes 1 de noviembre de 2019 en la capilla de Low Country Cremation & Burial a partir de las 2:00 p.m. con el padre Vicente Terrazas oficiando. Un período de visitas seguirá a la misa del funeral y se extenderá hasta las 8:00 p.m. Los servicios concluirán en la funeraria.

Manuel Puga, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 after a brief illness.  The native of Mexico made Tattnall County his home for most of his life.  He was an agricultural contractor at Bland Farms for many years until he began working for himself in his business, Puga Brothers Taqueria.  He served tens of thousands of meals through his business over the past 15+ years.  When he wasn’t working, he loved working in his garden.  One of his favored pastimes was soccer.  He was an avid soccer fan and even had his own team in which he was the captain.  Manuel could keep pace with men on the soccer field half his age.  He is preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Jesse Puga; a sister, Rufina Puga; and a brother, Ramon Puga.

He leaves behind to cherish a life lived together, his wife of over 30 years, Ana Puga; ten children, Martin (Leticia) Puga, Estella (Robert) Espinoza, Celia (Manuel) Gomez, Juan Manuel Puga, Jose Luis Puga, Christina (Jaime) Puga-Suarez, Ernesto Puga, Alfredo (Delfina Trejo) Puga, Manuel Puga, and Andres (Marimar) Puga; a brother, Alfredo Puga; a sister Elvira (Jesus) Moreno; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Father Vicente Terrazas officiating.  A period of visitation will follow the funeral mass and extend until 8:00 p.m.  Services will conclude at the funeral home.
