Margret G. McKinley, age 83 passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 after a short illness at Pine Pointe Hospice Facility. She was a native of Greene County, GA. and lived in Gordon, GA. for many years. Margret loved her cats, having several in her lifetime. Among her other interests; she enjoyed doing arts and crafts, reading about history, and was known for having a green thumb; growing many exotic trees, shrubs and flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie E. and Grace Marchman McKinley; son, Stephen R. McKinley.
She is survived by her sons, Marvin J. (Beth) Evans of Forsyth, GA., Charlie Earl Smallwood of Waverly, GA., James McCook of Macon, GA; daughters, Margaret S. Hall of Forsyth, GA., Mary (David) Carmichael of Forsyth, Evelyn S. (J.R.) Smith of Ivey, GA; brother, Charlie Earl (Susie) McKinley, Jr. of Forest Park, GA; sister, Evelyn Hunter of Macon, GA; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives also survive.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon with Charlie Earl McKinley, Jr. officiating.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice Facility or the American Cancer Society in honor of Margret McKinley.
Low Country Cremation Services and Burial is serving the McKinley family.
