Maria Teresa Flores-Almanza

Maria Teresa Flores Almanza, age 49, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta.  She was born October 09, 1972, in Mexico and had lived in Reidsville for 30 plus years.  She was employed with Ray Farms in Glennville for many years before recently started working at Valmont Utility in Hagan.  She was the happiest when she was spending time with her grandchildren.  Teresa attended St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in Claxton and was preceded in death by her parents, Elias Flores-Gonzalez and Maria Almanza.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Carmen Villagomez; children, Maria Villagomez Flores, Carmen Villagomez Flores, and Steven Villagomez Flores; brothers, Roberto Flores, Reyes Flores, Elias Flores, Nieves Flores and Miquel Flores; grandchildren, Leonardo, Rylen, Aleah, and Braylen Flores all of Reidsville; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from the hours of 2:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm on Sunday, October 3, 2021, from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Father Vicente officiating.  Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jaime Castro, Steven Villagomez, Carmen Villagomez, Reyes Flores, Elias Flores and Nieves Flores.
