Glennville,
Marilyn Oglesbee Silva, age 61, died November 25, 2015 at Hospice Savannah inpatient facility after an extended illness. The Glennville native lived most of her life in Long County. She loved being a mother and was a very lively person. Perhaps her best known trait was her infectious laughter. Marilyn was never one to sit in one place for very long, therefore she never had time for hobbies. She was determined to be on the move and actively doing something at all times. She is preceded in death by her parents, John B and Annie Lee Oglesbee; 4 brothers, and 1 sister.
She is survived by her husband John Silva of Glennville, daughter, Amanda (Daniel) LaRubio of Savannah , two sisters, Donnie J. Futch of Ridgeland SC and Johnnie (Jerry) Gray of Jacksonville FL, a brother Herman Oglesbee of Ludowici , a grandson Connor LaRubio, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday November 27 2015 at 1:00 p.m. graveside at Love’s Chapel Cemetery. Graveside funeral services will immediately follow beginning 2:00 p.m. also from the graveside. Rev. David Holton will officiate the services.
