Obituary
Captain Mark Emerson , age 64 passed away Tuesday November 13, 2012 at his residence. The Connecticut native had lived in Savannah most of his life moving to New Branch Community twenty two years ago. He was a veteran of the US Marines and was a retired Captain from the Savannah Fire Department. He was a well-known gunsmith and was the owner of Shooters. Captain Emerson was a member of Center United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Parker-Emerson; parents, Harold and Clare Emerson and a sister, Dawn Wintle.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Gary Pinard of Metter; son, Tuck Emerson of Effingham County; brothers, Craig Emerson of Hawaii, Drew Emerson and Todd Emerson both of Savannah; sister, Shawn Emerson of Savannah; grandchildren, Jessica Waters of Statesboro, Christopher Pinard of Swainsboro, Tyler Pinard of Camp Lejeune, NC; Hannah Emerson of Effingham County; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation and Funeral Services
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Frida ,November 16, 2012 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to New Branch Volunteer Fire Department or Center United Methodist Church.
Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel is serving the Emerson family.
