Marvin D. Gillis, age 49 passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at his residence. The Fitzgerald native had lived in Reidsville for most of his life. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed going fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, M.D. and Annette Teague Gillis.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Debbie Gillis of Reidsville; children, Felicia Gillis and Marvin Gillis, Jr. both of Reidsville; brothers, Ivey Gillis, Darvin Gillis, Tommy Gillis, David Gillis; niece, Macy Brown; sister-in-law, Judy Gillis; nephew, Dustin Gillis; grandchildren, Alicia Gibbons and Justin Gillis.

Services will be held at a later date.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Gillis family.
