Mary C. Anderson

Mrs. Mary C. Anderson age 84, passed away at her residence on Tuesday April 8, 2014 surrounded by her family and under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice.  The Coffee County native had lived in Douglas most of her life moving to Reidsville fourteen years ago.  She was a retired District Manager from Lyon Management.  Mrs. Mary was a faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Reidsville and was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Mattie Hutcheson Anderson and her companion, Walstien Meeks.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Russell and Laura Rae of Reidsville; sisters, Martha Durrance of Hortense, Myrtle ( Billy) Veal of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, John (Lanet) Anderson of West Green, GA, Luke (Mary Alice) Anderson of Harlem, GA, Tommy (Mollie) Anderson of Nichols, Joseph Anderson of Nahunta; three granddaughters, Angie Barnard of Brunswick,  Mollie Hulbert of  Vidalia, Sabrina Richardson of Hazlehurst; six great grandchildren; special friend, Sonny Lyon of Douglas; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Thursday from the Reidsville Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Friday, April 11, 2014 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the Reverend David Moxley officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Steven Black, Larry Kingery, Tony Veal, Kenny Anderson, Terry Anderson and Bruce Johnson

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Spanish Oaks Hospice.
