Collins,
Mary Frances Knight Lamb age 83 passed away Tuesday September 24, 2013 at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia. The Tattnall County native had lived in Collins most of her life. During Mrs. Mary’s working career, she was a poultry farmer, a nurse’s aide with Tattnall Memorial Hospital, and custodian at the Reidsville High School. In her free time she loved to read and fish. She is a member of Hammonds Baptist Church in Lyons and is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Frances Lynn Knight; sisters, Myra Spell and Jackie Holland; grandson, Keith Conner; and a granddaughter, Amey Lynn.
She is survived by her husband of 64yrs, Howard Lamb of Collins; daughters, Carolyn (Gary) Durden of Twin City and Karen Rich (Jeff Inglett) of Collins; siblings, H.L. (Gertrude) Knight of Jesup, Myrna Jean (Wayne) Hatcher of Texas, Ronnie (Garlene) Knight of Hazlehurst, and Nan (Jimmy) Jarriel of Collins; grandchildren, Don (Pam) Conner, Kristie (Juan) Rodriguez, Todd Durden and Wesley (Stacey) Lynn; eleven great grandchildren; faithful companion, LuLu; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00pm Wednesday from the Reidsville Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Thursday, September 26, 2013 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Kimbrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Lynn, Freddie Spell, Juan Rodriguez, Tim Oliver, Mike Oliver and Keith Graffagnino
